Stedfast has been developed by the team at Capella Systems. All of the staff have worked in teaching and apprenticeship delivery. Stedfast originally started as a project to make self assessment reporting and quality improvement plan simpler as self assessment using Word documents and spreadsheets was too cumbersome.
From there the team expanded the system to be able to conduct strategic planning and organisational reviews. The next step was to enhance the assessment planning tools to be able to better plan and performance measure programme delivery. We built the system so that all education and training providers could use the system to set course learning outcomes and apprenticeship standards and identify how they were going to deliver these, but more importantly, measure the success of delivery and action plan improvement.
