01 About Stedfast

Stedfast has been developed by the team at Capella Systems. All of the staff have worked in teaching and apprenticeship delivery. Stedfast originally started as a project to make self assessment reporting and quality improvement plan simpler as self assessment using Word documents and spreadsheets was too cumbersome.
From there the team expanded the system to be able to conduct strategic planning and organisational reviews. The next step was to enhance the assessment planning tools to be able to better plan and performance measure programme delivery. We built the system so that all education and training providers could use the system to set course learning outcomes and apprenticeship standards and identify how they were going to deliver these, but more importantly, measure the success of delivery and action plan improvement.

02 Online Modular System

Long before OfSTED updated their inspection framework, the team had already identified a need to take the assessment plans and be able to convert them into curriculum plans. We developed the curriculum planning module to allow organisations to identify curriculum activities, map them to the apprenticeship standards or learning outcomes and sequence when they were going to take place in any programme. We also added some useful curriculum mapping tools too.
The team also wanted a way to be able to address CPD and Staff Performance management as both of these were central to the quality of delivery. The CPD module was developed so that staff could request CPD and have it approved or line managers could allocate CPD to their staff. The staff performance management module was developed to allow each member of staff to have specific performance objectives that they could be continuously reviewed against.

Stedfast was also developed to be able to allow organisations to create and store their policies and procedures so that they are reviewed annually and are also accessible to all staff.
​Finally, the risk management module was created as it was felt that too often risk assessments in education and training organisations appeared to be the responsibility of one person and were centred around health and safety. Organisations tended to forget about risk assessment in other areas of the business.

Update to curriculum plans. Users are able to embed curriculum plans into their own websites or Learning Management Systems

Updated policies and procedure planning. Users able to create flow diagrams of procedures. Users also able to add narrative sections to risk assessments.

Updates to curriculum planning giving users the ability to sequence curriculum plans and cross reference with learning outcomes.
